Targeting Longevity Best Poster Award 2026

Targeting Longevity 2026 – Best Poster Award. We are pleased to present the Best Poster Award at Targeting Longevity 2026 to Ashley Davis from Newcastle University. Under the leadership of Viktor Korolchuk.

Her poster, “Aging Hallmarks create a pre-pathological state linking cellular aging to neurodegenerative disease vulnerability”, highlights how early cellular aging mechanisms may predispose tissues to neurodegeneration.

The work emphasizes:

  • Hallmarks of aging as pre-disease drivers
  • Links between cellular senescence and neuronal vulnerability
  • Early-stage biological transitions before pathology
  • Implications for preventive longevity strategies

By integrating microbiota science with systemic aging mechanisms, this work reflects a shift from treatment to preventive longevity engineering.

This research reflects the spirit of Targeting Longevity 2026 — identifying early mechanisms that connect aging biology with disease risk and resilience.

Congratulations for this outstanding contribution.
