Humans Longevity Medicine

The first two days of Targeting Longevity 2025 will be dedicated to the recent advances in ageing and longevity medicine within the humans.

Key Themes

1. Mitochondria & Longevity Medicine

  • Exploring the critical functions of mitochondria dynamics in the aging process.
  • Focusing on innovative strategies targeting mitochondria, redox signaling pathways and mitochondrial transplantation, promoting longevity.

2. Microbiome & Longevity Medicine

  • Examining the influence of microbiome communities on health and lifespan.
  • Exploring microbiome modulation strategies and the characterization of longevity (signatures) through metabolites.

3. Mitochondria and Microbiota: Intriguing Dialogue and Interplay between

  • Clarifying the complex and intriguing dialogue between mitochondria and microbiota.
  • Exploring the mutual influence of these two critical components of cellular health, providing a comprehensive understanding of their combined impact on aging and longevity.
  • Better understanding of the relationship of microbiome and human genomes.
  • Providing insights into how these genomic elements synergize, shaping the mosaic of aging and influencing health outcomes.

Animal Models – Translating Insights to Human Applications

Targeting Longevity 2025 will dedicate a session about Animal Models, aiming to provide an overview of our current understanding of aging and potential interventions. The session will also emphasize translating these insights to human applications, enhancing human health and longevity.

The primary focus of our discussion will center around the most prevalent and interesting animal models, including the Naked-Mole rat, C. elegans, Zebrafish, Siberian Salamander and others.
