Dr. Jeremy Van Raamsdonk from McGill University, Canada , will give a presentation on "Mitochondria Dynamics & Longevity: Standpoint 2025 and Perspectives" at the 2nd World Congress on Targeting Longevity 2025,  wich will be held on October 29-30 in Berlin, Germany.

Mitochondria are dynamic organelles that are continually undergoing fission and fusion to modulate mitochondrial connectivity. Through genetic modulation of the levels of the mitochondrial fission and fusion proteins, we have shown that alterations in mitochondrial dynamics can affect lifespan, biological resilience and neurodegenerative disease.

In this talk, Dr. Van Raamsdonk will discuss our recent published and unpublished findings on the effect of mitochondrial dynamics on longevity. Amoung strategic question wich will be discussed is Might mitochondrial dynamics represent a therapeutic target for lifespan extension, or are they more accurately a reflection of overall cellular function?
